Frequently Asked Questions...

  • Which size of Pool is best for me?
As well as checking your ground floor space using the measurements on our pool information page, you may want to consider your water capacity and how you want to use the pool. Our mini pools are great for compact spaces, take around the equivalent of 2 bath tubs full of water and work well with one person in them. Our regular pools hold around the equivalent of four bath tubs full of water and can accommodate two people getting in.
  • When should I book to have my pool delivered?
As a guide aim to have your pool delivered at the end of your 36th week of pregnancy. If you are unsure just contact us with some basic information and we will hep guide you.
  • What if my five week hire is ending and my baby has not yet arrived?
We have an initial hire period of five weeks as a guide. However, as midwives we know that babies can be unpredictable and that 85% of babies come after their 'due' date. Your hire will be extended at no extra cost if you are still waiting for your baby at the end of your hire period, so you can relax and give your baby and your body the time they need.
  • What if I hire but my plan changes and I don't get to use the pool?
Full payment is required either when booking or when your pool is delivered to you. However, if your plans change and you return your pool to us with the single use liner intact in it's packaging then we will refund you 50% of your hire cost.
  • Have I left it too late after the birth of my baby for a postnatal massage?
It's never too late, 'once postnatal always postnatal 'is our motto and we will always be happy to massage you at any stage of your mothering journey.
  • What if my baby arrives or I'm unwell and I can't make my massage appointment?
Feel free to book your massage with confidence, as we have a no charge cancellation policy. We will check with you via text to confirm your appointment the day before.
  • What do I need for my home massage appointment?
We will bring everything for your appointment and will just require a space to set up the couch, preferably downstairs. Our couches measure 83cm x 213cm at their max size, and we will need a little room around them to move around.
  • What if my baby has medical needs?
You will need to check with your paediatrician to make sure they are happy for you to massage your baby. If you have any further queries regarding your baby's medical needs, please get in touch to discuss how I can support you.
  • How old does my baby need to be?
Babies can be safely massaged from birth, but from 6 weeks to crawling age is the ideal age for baby massage classes.
  • Can my partner come too?
Yes, partners are very welcome to come along at no extra cost.
  • What if my baby cries or needs to feed?
The sessions are very relaxed and you will not need to change your baby's routine when you attend. Just feed, change or comfort your baby when you need to and massage when they are ready. The class will continue and you can learn the techniques to try on your baby at a later time.
  • Can I bring twins to the class?
Yes, you can learn to massage them both together, or you can bring a second adult.
  • What area do you cover?
  • How do I book with my gift voucher?
If you have one of our physical gift vouchers just head over to our bookings page to view our available appointments and make your booking. At check out choose the 'pay in person' option to pay with your voucher on the day of your treatment. If any additional payment is required alongside your voucher this can be made by cash or card. If you let us know your voucher number in the bookings comments box we'll be extra grateful. If you have an E-voucher, book online using the same email that your voucher was sent to and you will be offered the option to add it as payment at checkout.
  • What are our Baby Massage Terms and Conditions
Safety guidelines Please read these guidelines carefully before you attend your first class. Parents work with their own baby. When practising with your baby, never rush or force anything. If you feel stressed or tense, just take a break and come back to the practice later. Always ensure that you feel safe, secure and confident with the way you are holding or working with your baby. Never do anything that you do not feel comfortable with. If your baby is unwell, it is best not to attend the massage class. If your baby is crying excessively and cannot be comforted, he/she may be ill. Never practice on a distressed baby, or if your baby is limp, pale, has a temperature, or any difficulties breathing. Please seek appropriate medical help. It is not recommended to practice in the 24 hours following your baby’s immunisations. Terms and Conditions Please read the following terms and conditions. All the above safety guidelines need to be read and adhered to. Parents take full responsibility for themselves and their babies, and for everything that happens to them and their baby in relation to the Baby Massage class. If parents have any doubts, they should seek the advice of a medical professional before proceeding with Baby Massage classes. Parents will keep the Baby Massage Teacher informed of any health issues that arise over the course of the classes, for both themselves and their baby. Refunds are not possible for missed classes. Payment for baby massage classes is required on booking and in advance of starting your course. If a session is cancelled by us a new session will be offered. If a full course is cancelled, a new date or a refund will be offered.
