About Me                                ***Please note: I will be taking a break between 3rd -18th November***        

My name is Sarah Syms and I run Sootheababy Massage Classes and Sootheamuma Massage Therapies. I'm a registered midwife, massage therapist and infant massage instructor with over 30 years experience of working with families.


Baby massage was one of the first activities I did with my son and for many years it provided a calming haven for both of us to return to when times were busy or fraught. Through my work as a nursery nurse and later as a midwife I have become increasingly passionate about empowering families so that they can gain the maximum enjoyment from family life.  I enjoy teaching antenatal classes with my midwife colleagues in the ABumpsABaby team (see below) and training to become a certified baby massage instructor was a natural extension to this work. In 2018, I achieved my Diploma in Massage Therapy, with Anatomy and Physiology, which has enabled me to provide tailored massage treatments for mums and mums to be.

I am Fedant registered and insured, and I am enhanced DBS checked.

Childbirth preparation classes to help give you more understanding of the process of giving birth. Run by registered midwives in the Burgess Hill area.
